Asuka-mura

The original scenery of Japan, Asuka.
Asuka Village is a place full of ancient romance, such as Ishibutai Tumulus, Japan's largest tumulus, Kitora Tumulus, known for its mural paintings designated as a national treasure in 2019, and Asuka-dera Temple, Japan's first full-scale temple founded at the request of Umako Sogano.

The highlights are scattered throughout the village, so it is recommended to go around archeological sites and sightseeing spots by using the Asuka tour bus or Asuka rental bicycle. If you visit the sightseeing volunteer guide (advance reservation required) and Asuka Village, you can explain the history in an easy-to-understand manner and enjoy sightseeing efficiently. Stay away from everyday life and enjoy the peaceful scenery.
