Asuka-mura
Asuka, the original scenery of Japan.
Asuka Village is a place full of ancient romance, such as Ishibutai Tumulus, Japan's largest tomb, Kitora Tumulus, known for its mural paintings designated as a national treasure in 2019, and Asuka Temple, Japan's first full-scale temple founded at the request of Umako Sogano.
The highlights are scattered throughout the village, so it is recommended to use the Asuka tour bus or the Asuka rental bicycle to visit archeological sites and sightseeing spots. If you visit the sightseeing volunteer guide (advance reservation system) and Asuka Village, you can explain the history in an easy-to-understand manner and enjoy sightseeing efficiently. Please stay away from everyday life and enjoy the peaceful scenery.
