Kawahara-ji Temple Ruins Kofukuji Temple is a temple located in Asuka-mura, Nara Prefecture, with many historical mysteries remaining. In the Asuka era, it was counted as one of the four Great Asuka temples along with Asuka-dera, Yakushi-ji Temple, and Daikandaiji Temple, and it was a large temple that Emperor Tenmu gathered calligraphy and performed for the first time. It was abandoned during the Muromachi period, but Kofukuji is the successor to the lantern and is built on the site.
In this experience, you will visit the main hall under the guidance of the priest, and then move to the Shakyojo to perform the Shakyojo. Please enjoy the sutra experience of the mysterious history of Kawahara-ji Temple and the breeze of Asuka while watching the historical sites of the Asuka era.

Shakyo Experience

After the sutra experience, take a break with matcha and sweets. Please enjoy a relaxing time.
