Abe Monju-in Temple

This temple was founded in 645 AD. It is one of Japan's three Monju along with Kirido Monju in Amanohashidate, Kyoto, and Kameoka Monju in Yamagata. There are many visitors who wish to pray for passing the entrance examination, fulfill academic work, and pray for evil amulet. The main god is the Monju Bodhisattva, famous for the saying of "If you approach three people, Monju no Chie", the largest in Japan (7m), and was built by a Buddhist priest Kaikei in the Kamakura period in 1203.
